You can trade after hours if your broker gives you access.

I am with TD Waterhouse and have their "Active Trader" status/software.....so I have access to after hours trades. I don't think I've ever made a trade in after hours as I try to get everything tightened up between 1pm and 2pm before the market closes.

WTF

so will that affect the opening price tomorrow???

I just logged into my account and it's down 6.49% and the price is $70.72. Shares are trading at the price....so if it stays that way tonight, it will open at that price in the morning.

Dude, if I could predict what was going to happen on the stock market....I would be driving an enzo and hanging out on a yacht with girls in bikinis.

I drive a minivan and live in a small condo.....

Hahaha.

e36, it's tough to make money buying stocks at retail prices. Underwriters got in below IPO pricing (which was around $40/share).

Big profits don't mean anything if the investors have already valued the stock at what it's worth.

doesnt even matter that they make more. they have no sub-prime mortgage risk. all the risk lies in the hands of the banks. and if there really is a "recession", people tend to use their CC's more than ever contributing to both Visa and Mastercard's ongoing success. just my 2 cents. correct me if im wrong
