Hey,

I have an '89 Oldsmobile and was looking to get a REALLY LOUD horn to replace the crappy high-picthed horn installed. It would be really funny to have an extremely loud horn in such an old veichle, and I was hoping you guys could help me out on any parts I could get and where I could get them to help me replace my old horn with a very firetruck-loud horn.

Thanks in advance for any help!
:)

With all the idiot drivers in town, an air horn is not a bad idea. Air horns come with different pitches so make sure you get a long trumpet if you want a deep tone.

my buddy got one of those, it uses a really low power little electric compressor, and its not loud at all, sounds cool though.

one day we put his car in the garage and blew 120psi from a big compressor into it.... we almost shat our pants... hahahah

Horns are all run off the 12v system, just get one out of a truck or old boat of a car from pick n pull.

Get the Hella HL85115 horns. Smaller than trumpet horns and easier to install.

as richard said. it's definitely not a bad idea for calgary traffic.

there is too much idiot on the road, especially those huge pick up think they own the road.

You mean most of Calgary has heard it before. IE: Last summer when you did loser laps up and down 17th while blowing it about in your teal Vanilla Ice Mustang. (rag top down of course)
It only scares people when you do it less than once every 500 feet.

You oughta put that thing in your Caddy and use it less. Mind you with a toy like that, it would be hard to not want to always use it.

Fuck that noise, go with this one. Plus that civic's exhaust sounds horrible.
