So I just picked this deck up and I will do a mini review of my experience. Overall I am quite disappointed, I have had two JVC decks prior and was very happy, so I was quite surprised. I will start with the pro's.
Pros:
-Looks cool
-Touch screen pad
-Plays dvd,divx,cd,mp3,wma...
-USB input (main reason for purchasing)
-many preouts
-lots of upgrade parts available
-bluetooth
-single din
Cons:
-will not resume dvd or cd (not burnt) 50% of the time, which results in the deck freezing completely. Not a problem if you don't mind restarting your car a lot to reset the deck.
-touch screen is very difficult to use while driving, to adjust volume you swirl your finger on the pad. Sounds cool, try doing that on a bumpy road.
-bluetooth works ok if you don't mind yelling at your deck, has also caused deck to freeze.
-don't try and install deck in tight spaces, back of deck is a mess of wires none of which are removable.
-navigating folders of usb key is next to impossible
-seems to have its own gravitational field sucking dust to screen as soon as cleaned.
This is after three days with the deck. Had to return previous JVC deck (NX5000 nav system) disc drive was screwed would not play. So I am going to return it and get my money back and try a Pioneer AVH-P5000DVD.
Let me know if you guys know anything about that deck.
