Suzuki GS550M Oil Filter

This might sound like a stupid question, but this is my first bike, and I have no idea where the oil filter is. Can someone point me in the right direction? I assumed it would just be out in the open like a car, but I don't see it anywhere - maybe I'm just blind. The bike is an 82 Suzuki GS550M. Thanks

It inside the crank case. You have to undue a cover and pull it out.. Element style:
