Having not seen the video, I would assume by your comment that you just witnessed someone escaping a Cleveland Steamer.

I'd like to see how many he could do with correct technique.

I'm starting to think its fake. Here is another clip of a different guy benching the same weight in front of the same banner with ease.

You can see flex in the bar so I would assume thats real.. Plus he isn't even touching his chest...

Also I have seen guys bench that before 10reps no problem. and that is doing it correctly..

Well put 2 and 2 together you look at the size of the one guy and you look at the other it seems pretty real to me...

Plus that is the guy i was talking about in my other post.

LOL, ok.

In every "real" bench press competition the guy is just pushing out one set, and its done in a very wide grip, arched back, slow and controlled movement.

Those two yahoos grabbed over 500lbs in street wear, no spotters and threw it up like it was just a bar.

FAKE!!!

LMAO Jesus Christ you guys thinking it's real. It's from the Arnold Expo. It was set up just for show (apparently it was only around 185lbs).

These guys would be competing in strongman if that was real. Some of you guys need a grip on reality.

That makes so much more sense.

Thanks for the input.

have you seen the comment for the video?

"Thanks for all the support and positive comments on my video. I'm gonna take the advice of my fans and compete in the world's strongest man next year. I contacted them and they said I would get a "special invitation". The guy who runs it hinted that I might be a little too strong and it would be unfair to the other competitors. So I just won't lift any weights for the next year to level the playing field. Thanks again. "

Too strong for the strongest man competition? I think its BS

FAKE!!!
:werd: If these guys were lifting near the weight being claimed...you would expect spotters on the ends. Besides, the bar does not flex at all when the first guy was tossing it around.

Fuck... seriously guys, I think it's impressive that someone could even move 585lbs. Sure this particular vid might be fake, but hating on someone not "going all the way to their chest" when they are doing +500lbs... you do it and then talk shit :)

Ten's of thousands of year's worth of evolution helped give us thumbs, it should have only been fitting to have a person refusing to use them see a more tragic fate.

BTW, this thread is almost as good as the thread where a bunch of people think 'The Onion' is a real news site.

Explain it then.
Click on the "youtube" icon in the reply window. Insert the link in the pop-up window, click "Submit reply" ? I have tried this and get a blank box...what step is being missed?

You only put the wierd string of numbers and letters after the = sign, not the whole link.
