I was thinking of picking up another one of these. But blown head gasket is never the only problem. Makes me wonder what actually is wrong and caused the gasket to blow. From experience, that'll be heads that are pitted from detonation, possible block damage - pistons probably fawked. I think you should take it apart and find out what is really wrong so you can actually sell this thing - or send it to the dump for scrap metal.

Wow, thats pretty rude, Z fan is just trying to inform anyone considering this car, that it is probably more than just the head gasket, Im pretty sure he knows alot about 300zx's.... last time I heard he had the fastest one in Alberta

thats cool that he knows a lot and has a fast z, but the owner said what was wrong with the car , why should someone that probably hasnt ever seen the car start to say whats wrong with it.

because cars dont JUST blow a head gasket, there are things that lead up that can cause problems.

But either way, fair priced car.

Gl on sale!

Repairing the head gasket in this car is basically a pull the motor situation. I've replaced several head gaskets on the Z32 (always something else wrong which forces the gasket to fail BTW) and you can't do it with the motor in. Well, you _can_ but it is complete PITA and it is faster to pull the motor. So it's a major problem which cost a lot of money to repair unless the buyer can do it themselves.

In any case, the price seems reasonably fair for a car that which has an engine that doesn't work but is otherwise in OK condition. Edit: you can not really prove that the gasket is the only problem without taking it apart. Period.
