GROUP BUY: Hamburgers!

Hello fellow beyonders! As you all know, summer is just around the corner, and there's nothing better than to cruise around fast food joints and eat delicious hamburgers with friends and family while basking in the warm golden sun!

Since May is National Hamburger month, I'm looking for people to participate in a hamburger group buy. If you are interested, make a post and I'll add to the list! McDonalds burgers are a cornerstone of north american culture and tradition, have the perfect combination of garnishments to make it a true classic in the world of hamburgers.

I've spoken to McDonalds, and they have graciously offered a 10% discount if we can get 10 or more buyers! I'm personally in for 1, maybe 2 burgers, depending on how hungry I am at the day of purchase.

Note that they will give discounts if you decide to choose a cheeseburger instead. Very gracious of them, since National Cheeseburger Day isn't until Sept. 18!

I dunno if I can get the 10% deal on the big mac. The margins are pretty slim on the big macs. They have bigger margins on the hamburgers and cheeseburgers.

Just be patient, I'm working with a different vendor now (Wendy's) trying to get a better deal! McDonalds hasn't returned my calls, but they're probably too busy right now to have to deal with 80 burger quotes.

They are probably going to blame the delay on how hard it is to find employees.

- When you talk to Wendy's, offer them advertising on beyond.ca - ask them to use marketing dollars and use that money to buy down the price of the burgers.
- If they can't discount the burgers, ask if they'll throw in an extra patty or fries for free instead
- I think Wendy's uses non organic beef. Can you ask if they can use organic beef instead? I don't want to be sucking in all the hormones/chemicals they put in cows - then you can also certify that beyond.ca supports organic food.
