Alright guys i need to swap out new brake pads but i am trying to determine whether or not my car has 93 brakes or 92 brakes the car is registered as a 92 but has some factors that lead me on to thinking it is a 93, including 92 ignition stuff doesn't fit on it, has the bigger throttle body?? Any specifics i can tell..

if it was built in 92 that would make it a 93 model no?

DO you get what he means? Cars released in 2008 are labelled 2009. If you didn't catch his drift.

it doesnt work like that for cars imported from japan. they are imported by the month. my understanding is the bigger brakes were not used til around october 1992 if i remember correctly...

No kidding...

So if October 92 is still the year 92 and the cars built then have 93 spec parts would this not make my statement somewhat valid?

the codes on the brake calipers are different on the 93+ brakes

for example, the rear caliper says 22v on the 93+

if that is really something your worried about then take the brake pad out and bring it to the place where you buy your brake pads

Stop worrying about it - buy a set of 94 brakes and be done with it :D
