Hey,
I was wondering how much does the average cost of taking off a set of tires and putting another set on the same rims?

I got a quote of $90, is that a good deal?

Depends on what you need. I'd be surprised if somewhere would mount and balance for $10; especially on aluminum rims which is usually $5 more at Crappy Tire. If so, I definately have a new place to get my tires mounted.

You can also include more expense if you happen to have TPS. (Tire Pressure Sensors). I paid quite a bit to have the tires on my Sequoia exchanged.

I think $90 seems reasonable. Especially if you have aluminum mags.

togo is 10$ even when you purchase used tires off of them... usually $80 is common but it all depends on the size of your tires/wheels and the profile of the tire as bigger wheels and smaller profile tires can be a whore to mount

I remember CMS charged me $60 last year for everything including disposal fee for the old tires.

Its about $20 a tire at Kal-tire if you have tires under 17". I got 19" low pro's and they cost $30 per tire to mount and balance. But they do an awesome job at taking care of your rims.

I heard crappy tires treat your rims like crap and drop it.

I have paid as low as $60 for 17" rims. As high as $120 for 19" 30 series.

Cost me $50 at Shawnessy Walmart to have four summer tires mounted on the stock Prelude rims just this weekend.

Bringing in loose ones will make it cheaper and faster. I've gotten them done for $10/tire for loose ones before at Blaskin and Lane.
