You can go on the riverboat. You can even go for a buffet on it. http://www.edmontonqueen.com/

Whyte has bars, but during the day there are lots of neat shops. If you go on a Saturday there's the Farmer's Market.

You can also check out the river valley, Muttart Conservatory, Ft. Edmonton Park, Telus World of Science.

West Ed is pretty much the main attraction, though. If you're going to make a day of it, hit up the waterpark or galaxyland.

Not running yet. They have to wait a little for the water level to drop from the spring thaw.

Muttart is good for the family or if the weather is bad, since it's indoors.
The science centre is good for the kiddies.

Asides from the mall and whyte ave, we head over to Hawrelak Park. Good picnic place with lots of tables and boating too.
