I just saw one of these in town last night and fell in love, sure it could be a gay car but look at it, it's so cute!

If you have not seen one of these in person, they are TINY, way smaller than the old miata.
1500lbs, 63 massive turbocharged horsepower from the huge 660cc 3 cylinder. But imagine if you pushed out 100hp from that motor? Did I mention it's RWD!
Reviews on the car say it is reliable and well built. I want one for the wife, then I'll drive it.
:)

Where'd you find that at?

It's a lot less gay than that pink Honda Beat in town.

Good luck with getting one of those. Definitely refreshing from all the (no offense) R32 driven around by high school F&Fers.

The top is also extremely innovative. It can be a full on convertible, targa, or a hard-top all by collapsing that roof-type thing that sits where your neck would probably be. These are VERY well balanced cars, FR configuration.

yeah they're cool cars. i wouldn't mind collecting one of these, haha.

The 63hp is the maximum that the kei-car regulations allow, so that's what they are all rated at. Maybe it's like the GTR - says 63hp on the box but 300rwhp on the dyno?

I saw a blue one in front of Opa on 8th at lunch yesterday. I saw it driving down circle too, and though to myself, damn those old miata's are tiny!
You have to see it in person.

f20 swap hehe. Or even a 13b. I'm sure the turbo rx7 engine would fit nicely in this thing. Seeing as the 13b is such a small engine.

I would buy it hoping it is good on gas, my lancer I am thinking burns gas in its sleep. I need something cool like that and great on gas.

Thats not a micro car..

This is a micro car
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/WhiteSol/Beat/198099.jpg

Actually they are EXACTLY the same dimensions, minus the height.. 3295mm x 1395mm x 1185mm for the Suzuki.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/WhiteSol/Beat/beatspecpic.jpg

The Cappuccino sold in the UK for £11,995 MRSP ($27,000CAD) when it debuted in 1991 according to Wiki.

They are nice .. and they were so popular in the early 90's

But $9K ? that is almost the msrp 18 yr ago .. if $3-5K .. then not bad for a toy, as u hv to drive it in the wrong side ..

Considering inflation, the price of the cappa would be roughly $36,000CAD in todays currency.. Based on an average depreciaton factored with inflation, the value of the vehicle is closer to $4900.. add import cost and the difference between the 9k and that is your importer markup..

Damn, those cars are sweet! I could not justify spending that much on a car that is that old, that small, and that slow though...

Still pretty awesome.

$9000 is too much i have seen good ones sold way less then that. $6000 for a good one is more like it.

also factor in the rarity in canada, giving it more value and a slower depriciation than the average car.

ive started saving already but im not sure what one to get.
both of them would be sick.
if i were to get a cappuccino i would drop a different engine in to get more power. It would go like a bastard with 200 horse in a 1500 pound car.

I'd get the Autozam AZ-1 for its gullwings, plus I like how it looks better. Either car would be a hoot to drive with 100+ hp under the hood.

i would get this car just based on the fact that it should beat an ae86 on the downhill! can't beat that.

I had a Cappo for a while. Really fun car with 9k redline. Also really easy for parts to with a large supply of these in the U.K.

Gets 600kms to 30 litres of Premium. Great for getting around town:poosie: Because its half the size of a Miata

Green Toast

That Mazda looks neat, but I have my heart set on the cappo. Here's another ride about the size of a miata that I always liked:

It's got an isuzu impulse turbo engine but it looks neat.
