The LG phone is awesome! I've had mine for 3 weeks now (I used to have a TimePort), Definately go for the LG, you won't be disappointed.

I probably would get the LG, but all I need is a cheap phone for Pay and talk (screw getting a contract)

go to the telus website and get the sanyo 4000 for 80 bucks.
It includes the starter kit (which is otherwise 75 bucks)

In effect, ur getting the phone for 5 bucks... and it has a one-year warranty on it.
