permanent marker

so last night someone decided to tag the driver side door of my car with a black marker:thumbsdow so i'd like to know the best way that i can get it off. i read somewhere about using hairspray but not sure how/if this will work.

try soap and water, if it doesnt work try goo gone but be careful with that shit you dont want it to sit on your paint very long.
