Did I Spot an '08 Skyline?

This may be old news on here but it's the first time I've seen this car:

Saturday afternoon around 2pm heading south on Crowchild Trail I was passed by what I thought was a newer model pearl white Nissan Skyline GT-R. I saw it approaching in my rear view and was trying to figure out if it was a G35 with a body kit. when it passed me it had "Skyline" written across the trunk and did not look like a G35 to me. Of course I didn't have my camera with me at the time :banghead:

Anyways, very sweet car! :thumbsup: I'm not a big Nissan guy so excuse my ignorance with respect to the details.

no, i used to see that car at Plush all the time.. its just a rebadged g35

I'm sure there would be no mistake if it was the new GT-R vs. a regular skyline/G35. Huge difference....not like a integra gs/gs-r/ls

There's a badge kit with rebadges the G35 as a "350GT Skyline" IIRC

At a quick glance, I could see how someone who doesn't know the car very well, or hasn't seen it very much could confuse a kitted G35 for the new GTR.

1-bar, I agree with your "no mistaking that ass" comment. The kitted G35 I saw even had the 4 round tails, which is what really threw me for a loop. I didn't notice the exhaust tips though.

was it the taillight housings you saw, or just the lighting output coming from the taillights? If i remember correctly, at night, the rear of the G37 puts out 4 circles in a pattern very similar to the GTR tails.

mmm.... the new GTR is not a skyline, its just a Nissan GTR.

Saw that at Northland mall Saturday... looks clean. But I wouldn't rebadge my car.

I've seen a 350Z with Fairlady badges too...

last year i would always see a white g35 with a c/f hood and skyline badging on 17th ave s.e looked pretty sexy.
