Some of you already know... after visiting Concept-1 earlier today... I have decided to keep my Jetta and not sell it to buy a BMW. In turn, this winter, I will be purchasing an APR Stage-III turbo kit for my motor.

On 100-octane race gas, I should have just over 338HP and 325lb-ft of torque!

Or I may just have to settle with 290HP and 296lb-ft of torque on 94-octane.

Anyways, Good choice peter...BMW is nice, but so is your Jetta...especially with that kit.

My dads friend has a TDi like yours too, but its silver, with 18's, and some GDM parts lol (german domestic market). Like bumper, grill, and some other junk like a spoiler.

APR makes nice stuff. Are you going to use thier chip too? One thing I don't understand is why you need to run 100 octane for 340whp? Unless the APR chips are set for a higher timing that's all I can think of.

Whats the price on the kit?

the APR stage3 kit comes with a chip made for the turbo kit.

and the 100octane program advances the timing, where as the 91/93 octane versions do not.

It's still significantly on the "non-advanced-program" -- just not as much. Trust me... Ken's GTI 1.8T Stage-3 on Esso 91 is damn fast... yes it could be faster... but it made me smile... almost an AMG smile! ;) :rofl:
