View Full Version : Color for my civic EK: BEYOND I NEED YOUR HELP

I’m deciding which color I should paint my ek. I’m torn between three colors:

1.Burgundy. Very rare and nice on a civic.

2.Green. I love green, I just don’t know which green I like more!
http://www.bashirosman.com/g1.jpg
http://www.bashirosman.com/g2.jpg
3.Black. Even though it’s every ricers favourite color, it’s way too common.

Don’t give me the “It’s your car, get a color you’d enjoy”. The problem is I’d enjoy all three colors, I just don’t know which one to go with.
Thanks

I'm torn between the Burgundy and the Green Integra, both are nice.

The green on the Teg

And if you cant decide, paint it all 3 in sections...backend burgundy, doors the Teg Green, then the front end black

Burgundy looks the best imo, black is nice too but like you said they're pretty common compared to burgundy.

My car would look like one of those gay happy volkswagen golfs.

the green from that teg would be intense on a nice ek. Do it up. Ever think about gunmetal maybe???

Gunmetal is pretty fresh itself, but I want something different. I'm also going against the whole "type R" theme with the red floor mats and recaros. I have to put that shit on sale soon lol

Only reason I wouldnt go for the burgundy is, from far away, it'll just look like a plain ol red EK, but that green from the Teg,will be :bigpimp:

it's too bad I'm letting my ek rot since I would of picked up any parts you had laying around or would be getting rid of haha. But it's just sitting there collecting dust...:(

I would go for a green in between the EK and the Teg.

Green teg...

Black on a Civic is unimaginative and burgundy is nice, but not really on a Civic.

want another rx7. Or something rear wheel drive and it needs alot of work to pass an out of province inspection. Meh. I'll get to it sooner or later. It's driven around enough to keep everything in working order and thats it.

and again I vote gunmetal or a grey a little darker than gunmetal. Maybe even a black with a hint of red in it if it's possible??? :dunno:

Burgundy is a great color

The pictures don't really make for a fair comparison. I think any green on an EK will look terrible. Burgundy looks best out of the colours posted.

That said, I would only repaint because of an accident or bad/fading paint or hail damage.

Thats candy apple red on the first civic IIRC.

isn't that green call Midori Green??
Few weeks ago when I was in Vancouver, I saw this EK with that similar Burgundy/Marroon paint. It really stands out from the crowd.

If you are going with the red type R interior, you'd have a christmas car if it were green. - burgandy looks sharp + different

green teg or burgundy, both great choices

First Civic is Candyapple Red, the warm tone of the sunset light makes it look burgundy.

ekguy

yeah that civic is indeed candy apple red it has been for sale on jdmc before and was actually advertised as a candy apple red civic in his title. I didn't mention it before since it didn't matter since gun metal is much nicer anyways.

If your going Type R (w/ the red interior)

Burgandy

Otherwise, Teg Green.

Thanks for all the tips guys. So I guess its between the Candy apple red color and the Green Iron Oxide color. I will NOT be doing a Type R conversion. Ill be selling my type R parts like the seats and floormats etc.
