I feel like an idiot asking this but...

My truck all of a sudden has no braking power. Cant stop worth shit. Like the brakes just got shot. Pads and rotors seem fine. And brake fluid is right on the minimum marker.

Anyone know whats wrong?
Like it didnt gradually get crappy. It went from Great to pretty crappy, to Pretty F-ing crappy, to Man this sucks.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Your brake master cylinder might be out to lunch.
or you could have air in your lines.
Was any work done on your brakes previously?

Does the brake pedal have any resistance to it? Or does it just sink the floor?

sinks to the floor.
Near the end of the line of the pedal, it gets some resistance but it stops the truck like it would when you lightly tapped them in the past.

My guess would be air in the lines in that case. Bleed the lines, fill it back up, check it again. If that doesn't work, then as mentioned before, you might have a problem with your master cylinder.

Definitely air bubbles in the lines, the air compresses better than the fluid which gives you that spongy brake feeling. Flush it out with some fresh dot3 and it'll be good as new.

If it isn't, master cyl as stated above. Could be letting air in.. not good.
