So i went to deerfoot suzuki to check out a used car, thought it was decent or whatever so i put down a 500 deposit to hold it for awhile to make sure financing and insurance would come through.
After contacting my insurance provider the estimate for the car was too much so i couldnt get the car, i call back to inform the person i was dealing with about it. He tells me no problem we will refund you the money. This was two and a half weeks ago, and still nothing on my card yet. Ive called a few times and ive been getting the run around, from oh ive passed it off to someone else, to now they are telling me they did it last week and its VISAs fault it hasnt been refunded. Any advice would be nice...

Seems obvious to me. Stop being a bitch, go down there, and raise some hell. Bring a bomb with you.

call visa and tell them, they are able to trace and track things and refund money in case of a dispute

Tell me the vehicle you were dealing on, and the salesperson you were dealing with in a PM.
I will take care of this.

I've dealt with them, they are actually pretty nice, I'm surprised to hear this. I would just go down and talk to the sales manager directly.

How many times does it need to be brought up that you don't put a deposit down on a car without getting something in writing :banghead:

 to nbaker00

Maybe, but it should be implied that you cant trust anyone with your money without getting something in writing.

PS its threads like this that keep me going back to beyond sponsors without any hesitation, they screw up and it spreads like wildfire. :)

they prolly are screwing you, but with refunds, it is a case where it may take up to a week for it to show up as a refund on ur visa from the date it was issued. It has always been the case for me
