DTP Car Show - My Car?

Just putting my thoughts out there and would'nt mind some feedback. There is a girl in my office whos boyfreind has a booth at DTP. He asked if I wanted to put my car in it... Now I love my car but really its a fairly stock 02 VW Jetta 1.8T - All I have is Tint, C.A.I and its Chipped... Its flattering to hear he wants to put it in the show but I don't thinks its quite show material...

If I'm going to the show I only want to see show worthy modified cars or the only stock cars I want to see are the higher end ones like IS-F, C63, RS4, M3, SL65 which are already super pimped from the factory......

While I obviously agree with that sentiment I forgot the show has some entrance criteria to meet. That being said, it won't reflect on the OP if his car is stock it will reflect on the booth holder.

Zero offence to the OP, but as mentioned by Max Boost, why make yourself look like a try hard by entering your stock vehicle in a car show.

Not to mention, what does that show for the booth owner? What is he trying to display? Car insurance? Window Tint? True Vee Dub love?

It just makes no sense to me personally.

You never know though, the stock Jetta will most likely be blowing a bunch of rusty ricers right out the oval.

Man....again, not to be harsh but this is a modded car show, not a used car dealership and IMO only adequately modded cars should BE there..I wouldn't want to pay the entrance fee to see a stock 02 jetta.

I would only throw a highly modded car in... Thats just me! Ive had a few show cars....

Maybe a bunch of the cars from his booth dropped out? IMO it's better to have a lightly modified to mostly stock car, than to have no cars at all :dunno:

I think it all depends on who their booth is supposed to represent. If your gonna have a booth at a car show you don't really want stock cars repping your product or shop, it will probably give you negative publicity to have stock rides in your booth.

Maybe he's just joking. Seriously, i'd be pissed if i had to pay admission to see a stock 02 jetta. I could just go to the parking lot of any Wal Mart and see a dozen for free LOL
