FS: Amazing Cell Plan

Hey,

I just renewed my bell plan, but I just found out I won't be needing a cell phone for a while (working in the bush)..so I need to get rid of it. It'll be 75.00 for basically a brand new Motorola Krazr, and you have to take over my contract. Just charging the 75.00 to get back some of what I paid a couple weeks ago for the phone/hardware upgrade. The plan really is awesome:

For 55.00/month:
200 Local Daytime minutes
1000 Evening/Weekend Minutes
200 Anytime Long Distance minutes
Free incoming calls
Caller ID
Voice Mail
Unlimited Text, picture/video messaging, sirius, etc
Unlimited Mobile Browser

Contract is I believe 3 years from December, so 42 months. Definitely worth it if you need a cell phone though since this plan is pretty amazing for bell.

yea usually people pay around $50 to $100 for their contract to be taken over otherwise you can pay bell $400 to cancel the contract good luck

They don't go over 36 months for the contract. If you renewed your contract and bought the phone in December, then there will be about 31 months left on it. What you also have to remind people about is that there is a $20 fee for switching ownership, and they will have to do a credit check for the new contract holder.

Also, a brand new KRZR on the same, if not better, terms is $49.95

Gurpy, call and threaten to cancel and you'll get transferred to the client retention people.

When I did that here's what they offered me:

$31.50 / month (all fees, service charges and taxes included)
- 150 daytime minutes
- Unlimited evenings/weekends from 6PM
- Caller ID
- Voice Mail

The guy has 30 months left on his contract. Early termination fee is $20/month up to a max of $400. If he threatens to cancel, they'll just laugh. He's threatening to pay them $400.

Threatening to cancel only really works when you're within 6 months of the end of your contract or if you don't have a contract.
