View Full Version : my mr2 makes my ears bleed
As promised the sound is finally done in the mr2. I cant really explain it til you actually experence it. you can actually see the mid sections of the seat moving and can have trouble breathing lol. I actually did get some fluid in my ears after breaking them in.
as for the rest of the speakers I am just running the standard alive sound system which actually sounds really good. i will be upgrading them sooner or later.
it is 2 12" alpine type S (the new black model) in custom (read huge) boxes running to a last gen alpine amp in the frunk. 300rms to each sub. I needed a cap because the car couldnt keep up lol. no rattles or anything though it sounds really tight. cant wait for you guys to hear it yourself.

and here is one of my interior so you can see where i am kind of going. lol sorry it is so messy/dirty.

ttops still fit as they sit on the floor not on the ledge or whatever

wow nice!! i would take off the location of your mr2 though....just incase you never know who prowls beyond.
for right now i have just been putting the t-tops in the garage. i am too scared to put them in the truck. and i could put them on the floor but then i know for sure i couldnt have the subs going because i cant even hold my hands there lol.
as for my location it doesnt matter seeing how there was a spotted thread :S. lol oh well. i changed it anyways. thanks for the tip.

Is getting fluid in your ears a desirable thing nowadays or something?

oh well i would rather someone steal my ride rather then get owned by an 08 like you did. seriously... actually i will take castration over that one...;)
Nice setup. I want to get something similar done, but with a single 8" sub, small box, and small amp all behind the drivers seat.

shoko had a very similar setup to that. the amp and cap was mounted behind the passenger seat and the smaller box was behind the drivers seat. it sounded very chrisp and responded very well.

what brand is your shift knob?
that is the small trd knob sitting on a b&m short shifter. there are two trd knobs, the ball one and the long handle grip one. They are really nice and made out of leather :D

Just left Visions. Bought a 8" Kicker Comp-VR, a Kicker 400.1D amp, a Pioneer Deck, a cap, and booked the install for June 4. :D

South. Southland and Macleod. Figured that I'd get myself hooked up while I'm down for the ride back :P
right on. cant wait to see how it turns out. it would make sense that they would put the amp and cap behind the seat not used rather then in the frunk i guess.

Yea, I wanted it all inside. I picked small equipment/shallow mount subs and whatnot so I can still put my T-TOps inside.
