So when i bought my deuce it came with a old blitz BOV..it didn't blow when i rev'd it up and idle..and it was hella quiet. So today i was testing it out and it didn't even feel like it was blowing any air out. So i bought a used Blitz DD(the newer one) and bolted it to the existing flange i had...nothing. Any ideas, i wanna hear my BOV. I hear you need to weld your flange on...but this one was just bolted? does that make a difference

How much boost are you running, do you have vacuum at the line you have attached to it, and lastly, it will be quiet, as most turbo cars only make 1 or 2 psi if you rev them up at standstill. Boost requires load to make the full boost of your car, it should blow off when you are driving, if it isnt, adjust the tension on teh spring until it does.

First     RICERRRRRRRR

2nd, Yeah what zenki said, if you really want it to go PSHHH, hold on to throttle and redline your car then let go and it will go PSHHH seriously...

But yeah just revving doesnt build enough pressure for it to VTA

haha, you need pressure to make it blow offfffffff, you have no pressure at idle revvving in neutral, you need to be moving

I get mine to go KA-SCHWING at idle while revving..

He prolly needs to hold onto the throttle a lil longer for the turbo to spool up then just revving it up and letting go....I could make the BOV go off on my 240 at idle also

yeah ricer! Woohoo..very funny...
my car came with a bov..it didn't work so i got a used one for cheap..still doesnt work. I wanna know whats wrong..
anyways yeah i know i need pressure for it to release but i've been driving for a while..and it doesn't seem to be working at all..you hear the turbo spool up..and then i release and the smallest little sound comes out. So i adjusted the spring still nothing.

I have the old Blitz bov (the SS, not DD) and I had the same problem. Turned out it wasn't opening at all. After taking it apart and cleaning everything it works fine.

Yes, I usually get mine at the I think NAPA across the street from London Drugs on 32nd....

And it might not even be the hose, maybe its the source of where your vaccum line is coming from...find a more direct source

Yeah after some fiddling around..i just connected the hose directly from the BOV to the intake plenum. Seemed to work just fine now.. Thanks guys!
