i was reading the forums and you guys seem to have good advice so here goes.

my diet is:
breakfast ( protein shake or glass of slim milk., 12 grain toast, fruit)
lunch (lean meat, 3 cups of veggies, 3/4 cup of ww rice or ww pasta)
dinner (lean meat, 3 cups of veggies)
snacks ( fruit, veggies, shakes)

eat 5 times through the day.

gym routine is based on 6 days a week:

day 1 - hour of cardio
day 2 - 30 mins cardio and 30 minutes weights (high reps, low weight)

then alternate this routine, with sundays off.

also every night before shower and bed is 100 pushups and situps.

sound good for weight loss and toning up?

thanks everyone

I would do this:

Cut the high rep/low weights. Instead opt for a Low rep/high weight routine. The trick is to have really intense workouts so your body 'wants' to hold on to the muscle. The biggest problem while cutting is losing mass.

Diet: Consume 1-1.5g of protein per pound of total body weight. Everything else looks really good.

Cycle your carbs too.

Example: Eat all your carbs (through out the day) before your last meal and at least 3-5 hours before bed. SO the last meal should be protein/fat/veggies. Try to consume most of your carbs after working out. Not cardio but, weights. Don't worry if you train at night. Your body will use the carbs.

Don't mix weights and cardio. Do cardio in the morning and train at night or just cardio or training. You can do warm up cardio though. No more than 60% max heartrate for like 10min.

Can the 100 pushups/situps. Abs are made in the kitchen not doing situps ;)

Have you tried logging what you eat through out the day?

weight training day is full body?!? I would switch to at least a 2 day split for some recovery time....

More is not always better. You'd most likely be over training.
