Hey I am driving solo to Vancouver Friday...anyone been out that way lately and any construction/traffic stuff i should watch out for?

It may be a boring drive solo so if anyone wants to pitch in for gas and come PM me!

yeah watch for wildlife, I drove out last week at night and witnessed an accident involving deer, and saw tons of deer/moose/elk

An extra 250 or so KM over the #1 route.

there is a split at salmon i think,
you can take kelowna which would make it a bit longer
or through kamploops which is shorter
take left on salmon towards kelowna or just go straight for kamloops

think the kelowna road is more to sightseeing but i don't even remember, been a while since i chose that route..

correct me if im wrong anyone
might have mixed it up

Here is a Mapquest from Fernie to Vancouver, just so it would use the #3.

Here is the #1 route from Calgary.

I've done both and prefer the #3, less traffic and more scenic.

I didnt say anything about time...just mapped it. Never driven that way myself :dunno:
