Do I need an inspection for a parked car?

I need to get insurance on a parked car so the city isn't all *Sticks foot up ass* on one of my parked cars. But since i just got the car i'll need an inspection. Do I need to have an inspection to register the car as a parked vehicle?

i believe if you move the car onto the driveway they cant do anything about it

You wont need an inspection to register the car unless it is out of province. However, your insurance company may want one.
