I picked up a 1978 Suzuki GS750-E in mint condition. Its only got 12xxx km's on it. I figure I could learn on this then when I buy a new bike next year I will give this one to the old man and we can ride together.
I bought it from the Yamaha Shop in the hat here so it had just had a bunch of work done to it like the carbs being rebuilt etc. It also has a new battery and mirrors.

With the OOP, new chain and sproket and the price of a bike I got it for under $1500. It is in mint condition!

That thing looks sweet.. brand new pretty much.
Reminds me of a kid when my dad bought my brother a CZ 125 2 stroke dirt bike that had never been ridden!

Well I have been riding it for a few days now and I am very impressed. It runs like a champ with a fair amount of power. Its perfect for around town stuff as I have yet to put it to the test on the road.
Next set of days off though I am thinking of taking it all over saskatchewan to visit friends. Now I just need to find a windshield for the highway

^ Good to hear :), just make sure you check over all the hoses and brake lines to inspect for cracks. Quite common on these older bikes.

Congrats man, you have a lot of fun with it.
I bought my 1st bike in 2000 that looked a lot like that. It was a Yamaha with only 2,200kms, i stole it for $150
