Hey guys!
I am looking to install a Double-Din DVD player to replace my factory, and 8 new speakers to replace the factory. The car comes with a "Priemium Sound Package".
my questions would be: What should I be Looking out for when going to install this equipment? Does anyone know if the stock sound package i have means i would have to bypass an amplifier? And what size if anyone knows, off the top of their heads, are my speakers?
Thank you!

Check out crutchfield.com for speaker sizes and dash kits.
It doesn't matter whether you have a factory amp or not, you won't be using it. You can't power 8 speakers off an aftermarket deck.

you can power 8 speakers off a deck some manufacters count component speakes as 4 speakers for the pair so if you think about it that could be front components and rear components and that would be 8 speakers. but im not saying all companies use it that way

Gotta love screwed up Euro speaker depths :) You'll be looking for slimline speakers or getting custom spacers if those numbers are accurate.
LOL, and I thought the deuce was bad.

You should see some of the newer VWs. 1" or less mounting depth. It's almost impossible to replace the factory speakers.
