Highway 1 Encounter - latest Gen supra, blue M3, Z06.

I drove to Banff and back to Calgary today.
Coming home, exiting Canmore after getting fuel, a latest get supra (black, CF front fenders, FMIC, exhaust) and a blue M3 (333hp version) came up behind me. Both cars were slammed on bronze rims with deep silver lips.

The M3 didn't want to play, but the supra did. It sounds great too, but couldn't pull quite as hard as my Z.

Anyone have any info on the supra?

Augh, I don't know how I missed that! My gf was at church at noon, so I had to wait until after to leave anyway.

Much as I love your Z, G, considering he's pushing nearly double your HP, I don't think he was really trying. ;)

Weird, I wonder if he had it de-tuned for the cruise. I saw black smoke when he shifted, so it seemed like he was at WOT.

Maybe he was just messing with me?? I'm going to PM him.

Well It was fun playin yesterday.....

I was pulling in 5th gear and my boost was set at .8 bar for the cruise (my gas saving mode)....

But Nice Car.....

I think I'll just skip the cam and go straight to a procharger. 550whp/500tq in a 3100lb car should be not too far away from his supra. Oops, now I'm doing it. :devil:

So, you're assuming that the what maybe..400lb weight difference makes up for 160 more hp? What a silly arguement to have...especially since he'd still be a push of a button away from 800whp if he wanted to "play"

I'm being a bench racing ass, so who knows what'd happen. I will say that no boost lag and a flat torque curve make a difference, but his supra seems like a monster. Trap speeds at the track would tell a lot.
