So the details are now out for the 2009 911. Revised exteriors, revised engines, revised transmissions. I am pretty impressed with the changes.

Well it is just a little refresh like they did on the 996, this one just really introducing the direct injection and dsg mainly, with subtle little changes to signify that.

Oh guys I see it now! The rear view mirror has been shaved slightly to save 3g from the total weight of the car. The price went up 35 grand for this.

Exactly.
Now only true ballers will be able to afford it, the addition of power would make it much faster allowing more time to be spent at lunch working on a bill larger than $95 w/o drinks.

Styling is the same lol, as per usual, but I'm happy about the extra HP/DI and DSG will be fantastic.

I was being sarcastic lol, I always have a hard time distinguishing Porsche models between each other, let alone a fairly minor refresh.
Still a sick car though and gad damn I am loving these 89coupe jokes hahaha.

Yah, the price should remain the same, and the canadian pricing on porsches has come down quite a bit from what it was compared to 07. This means that the next gen 911 is around probably around the corner. And the 89coupe jokes will never die here on beyond .

It's not at all the same from the early 997. It has totally different tail lights, front signal lights and front fascia from my old '06. The body work surrounding the tail lights is also slightly different.

HAHA..so almost everybody that posts here during the day.. is at work.. and not doing work?

I shouldn't say anything though, I'm at work as well but I only come on beyond a few times during the day. ok fine.. like 20 times. :D

I agree .. porsches all look the same to me now.. the only two models I can tell apart is the boxster and a cayman.

Wohoo.. Time for lunch.. not going with 89coupe tho

(I didn't read the whole context of what 89coupe said but it was still hilarious.. )

As far as I'm concerned, Porsche makes a car and an SUV, that's it  (Waits for 962 kid :poosie: )

haha I guess they wanted to go for a slightly more 911 Turbo look. they changed up the front fascia with LED lights where the old lights used to be and a barely different grill + new wheels. That is actually a ton for Porsche, considering they have kept it pretty much the same for 40+ years.

wow ..that is awesome ..

Now a 911 S has ~ 390 HP .. very close to the GT3 , and GT3 is probably unchanged for 2009!

Still, I think the 911 S is the best for your buck 911 .. :)

Unless you're a Porsche Enthusiast, you're not going to notice the aesthetic differences. 09 Changes are mainly technical. That being said, I'd rather the 09 updates minus the new bumpers, lights and wheels.
Look for an actual model change probably in 2011 to the 991/998.
