Is it possible to replace the tail light cover by yourself easily? The light bulb is still working, but the cover is cracked. It is a 2000 Honda Accord, and I inquired at the local dealer. They said it would be about $166.82 for the part, and $100.00 for labor costs. I just need the cover replaced, so I am hoping there is a way around it, instead of having to pay about $300.00 for something that seems so simple.

It is simple, pull back the carpet, unbolt it and replace.

you should be able to find one from a junkyard fairly easily (accord isn't rare) as well.. if not, i'm sure there's some online accord forums that can sell you it for much cheaper (used though, but that's hardly a problem)

i bought 2 tail lights (OEM) used for $125 inc shipping, and 2 headlights for $150 inc shipping.
