Well i had some 20mm spacers, and found some 25mm spacers at work today, so i decided to put them on my vehicle tonight.

I like how the rear sits, however i dont like how the front sits. I want to put some 25mm spacers up front.

Currently it is rubbing after driving for 5 minutes the springs sagged a little bit, after i maxed out my coilovers so i need to roll a bit.

25mm spacers are a bit much, no? You realize that you just made your car even more unsafe right? Not to mention you're going to wear out your bearings and tires faster just to offset your high offset wheels.

I'll admit the wheels look better but I also have heard nothing but bad things about spacers that big. I was looking for opinions on spacers and I was told even 1/2" spacers were deadly. There was not one good thing I heard about the ones that replace your existing bolts. Good luck.

These are the type that bolt into your hub and use new studs to hold the wheel. I have the same type of adapters in 25mm, not a single problem.

Most reputable wheel shops don't recommend the use of spacers. The ones that I talked to said they don't even sell them because of the liability associated with it.

^I'd have to agree. 25mm spacers are a bit much.... Some mods just aren't worth the risk associated. Just save up and get some lower offset wheels?

The new studs can be a problem too. I'm not saying they dont work but like the other posters on here they are a huge risk to use. If you called around to most tire shops I'll bet atleast 90% dont carry them because they're unsafe. Why use something that's not proven to be safe just for looks?

Spacers used properly are not unsafe.

The type pictured here are some of the best actually as they sit directly on the hub and bolt to the vehicle the same as a wheel does. The material appears to be billet aluminum and being 25mm thick, it is going to be stronger than the actual wheels themselves would be. The wheel studs in the spacers themselves are sitting in more "meat" then if they were pressed into the vehicles own hub/drum assembly. The spacers themselves also have a hub centering lip machined into them so the wheel will sit perfectly onto the spacer. Using this type of set-up has no effect on the car that using an actual offset wheel wouldn't also have.

They key is to use spacers correctly and not just slap on crap that doesn't leave enough stud/lugnut engagement etc. Done properly however, it is not unsafe. That is not to say that aggressively pushing out your wheels has no effect on your vehicle in regards to changing handling characteristics or in regards to adversely affecting the life of wearable parts, but use of the spacer itself in-it-of-itself is not dangerous during day to day use...
