Driving along, then heard some squeaking in my engine. That went on for like 1 - 1.5 km, then the noise disappeared.
I'm so sorry little buddy.

When I was 5 I saw a small bird wedged in a neighbor's car grill. Head in the grill and the wings fully extended, like in full flight speed.

damn, normally you don't see the bodies they get hit and bounce away but this makes you a little sad. It's normal to see flies and bugs stuck to your grille but a bird... ouch :(

I know the feeling - I killed a little guy too today - just a small baby who couldn't fly, walking on the road and stopped infront of me. Couldn't stop w/o getting rear-ended, potholes around me, so I tried to drive straight over him and hope he was small enough to clear the front splitter - unfortunately he wasn't (my Viper is ~2'' off the ground).
Sucks when you hear them die and there's nothing you could do to help

How do you get it out without beheading it? I looks like a canary, but it has a humming bird beak. Smaller grilles FTW!

Since I'm too busy working (long hours), I left it like that for 1.5 days so it got stiff. Then I knocked it over with my foot and it dropped onto the hotel parking lot. Somebody cleaned it up today though.
