Could you all run this speed test and then post your speed and connection if you dont mind...just copy and paste your results like this:

exactly right bol. you are only as fast as the other side. if the other side is as fast or faster than you, then you will have the fastest speed that you can possibly have, barring traffic of shared cable lines. i took Telecomm Engineering, trust me bol is dead on the mark. in school we learned that if you download something from 100 different sites and take the average, you will be very close to what 'your speed' is, but in actuallity, you can never really know 100%. oh well, those tests are still kinda fun anyways.
