Glamour, sport and fast cars will come together in blockbuster Hollywood fashion next week when the Bullrun road race sets off from Calgary for the first time.
The race -- inspired by the hit film Cannonball Run -- sees movie stars, sport celebrities, socialites and attention-grabbers of all ilk and from all over the world race an eclectic collection of jaw-dropping cars, such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and even Smart Cars, in a week-long rally.
For the first time, the invite-only event, with a $20,000 entry fee, will launch fom Calgary as it makes its way down to Scottsdale, Ariz. -- a distance of 2,000 km as the crow flies, said event spokeswoman Helena Barton.
