More people die each year from alcohol related health problems-why isn't there a crackdown on alcohol sales? Oh ya, taxes. There is no money for the gov't in street racing but they make huge dollars on "sin taxes"; plus street racing is very high profile-especially in "Special Reports". Why kill the Golden Geese (booze and smokes)?

Straight up. It's pretty rediculars! It's now gone from busting up the actual racing, to breaking up the actual meet. It's gotten pretty nutz. i remeber a thread on beyond back in 2005 about bringing forward new ideas to control/solve the racing problem in Calgary. What ever happened to that?

too many young kids with slow escorts, crx's, cavaliers, mustangs.

and nobody even races anymore. everyone sits around and waits for the sheriffs and police to come through and ticket for equipment infractions.

not to mention, i've seen booze and drugs being consumed out there. not exactly the place to do that. if you wanna drink and do drugs, stay home.

Government likely thinks ticketing the sht. out of the 'race cars' will eliminate them off the streets and only leave Perfect drivers like seniors and those who are far superior in driving skills.

i think they run vins on the engine blocks and they often turn up stolen.

Cops idea of cracking down this year is to throw 12 cars out to ticket the shit out of anything that shows up in the foothills. With the track closing it will be an even bigger game of cat and mouse next year.

That's Funny I'm taking schooling to become a Driving instructor 9 years class 5 experience last 7 years class 1/6 plus tons of certificates to teach new drivers and I'm builing a tuner how Ironic. My thoughts are you own the car and driver like a tard you deserve to have it impounded or the tickets. Drive it like you love it and it should treat you right. like this whats the difference between your girlfriend/wife ect and your car.You can drive your car as hard as you want and it will never bitch. Don't get me wrong I take my driving skills very seriously and what I will or can teach to future drivers coming on the road just be safe and do it in a safe place or take it to a track. I drove tow truck the big rig stuff class 1 for 2 months and had to get out. My biggest fear was when you got the call when you were dispatched and told it was a fatality and had to see shit you never imagined of seeing get my point..But drive safe be safe and play safe.
