Did your friend buy it from the apple store? Because you can get it for $120 + tax from sig electronics. Might as well just return it and get his money back.

I not sure where he bought it but he told me the return/exchange period is already expired.

at Sig electronics it would still be about $135 with tax and shipping. For $155 you can have it right away.
