Pretty sure that t-bird is on a trailer.....the truck pulling it rolled over....

Car resting body-down on a flatdeck trailer with its (remaining) wheels hanging over, held down with one chain?

You don't suppose that might have had something to do with the loss of control, do ya?

I don't entirely blame the driver, either - with cement slabs 3-4" out of alignment with one another, that section of Deerfoot ain't so smooth.

even going north at 1150 the traffic was backed up
the cars were slowing down to get a better "view"

^aha. Well if the weight of that boat on the trailer was shifted that far back couldnt it possibly lighten the load on the back tires of the truck or even potentially lift the rear end right off the road when going over bumps. Deerfoot is shitty. i could see it happening.

100% for sure.

The car was too far back on the trailer, which would cause the truck and trailer to bob as it went over the bumps. This makes the ass of the truck get all squirrelly. Instinct is to hit the breaks, and if you do that the trailer jack knives into the back of the truck and over you go.

This is from experience many years ago...

Me + new Z71 on oilfield road up north + trailer with large wire spools loaded too far back = truck and trailer on roof and me walking for 6 hours back to site.

the fact that there are liek 3-4 feet in front of the car, and the fact that this guy is a shop teacher in a highschool (if what the other guy said is true) I'm sure the car was ont here properly, and being a front engine car, there would have been plenty of weight in front of the trailer axel.

I'd assume it was mechanical failure more than anything.

You guys see any slack in that chain that would allow for the rear tires of the car to have ever been on the trailer?

LOL!!!!!!!! There used to be and probably still is, some POS near marlborough mall that is on a trailer... The only thing keeping the car on the trailer is 2 straps going OVER the body.

Some people are so stupid!

< edit> lol @ my stupid bad grammar
