View Full Version : Where to install Hood Pins?

Just looking around for quotes for a shop to install my hood pins for me.

The hood pins i have are the aero catch ones that stay flush with the CF hood.

So far i went to Screaming Paint works.

Just looking for a few more shops before i decide?

When I bought mine from Speedtech, they referred me National Collision. I went there and got a quote then went to Screamin' Paintworks and Screamin' gaved me a better price. :thumbsup: for Screamin' Paintworks, can't go wrong.

I'd put them towards the front of the hood.

why do you need hood pins? i have them in my car, because the previous owner put them in, and it looks way way worse.

My hood shakes alot. The hood is a little smaller then what it should be. Its not a perfect fit. I didn't want to use them but its more of a safety thing then anything else.

i call BS, usually its people who want their ricer to look more "race". IMO hood pins should be used on 1320 cars not daily drivers.......

Hahah.. Don't say stupid things you have no idea about, you're going to get someone hurt, or worse me when some idiots hood flies up on deerfoot and takes me out.

agreed. my brother put a carbon hood on his civic, and the next day he was going up an overpass and his hood flew up and smashed into his window. destroyed the hood, the window, and chipped the paint all over. not to mention that he couldnt see to continue down the hill.....
