View Full Version : when they shaev mouldings what do they do???

I'm havign all the mouldings onthe mr2 shaved....what do they do to fill the canal that is left once the mouldign is removed...i'm assuming that they use bondo but I really dont want any bondo on my car so are therea ny alternatives?

Weld in sheet metal is the proper way to do it.
Bondo will eventually crack and look like shit but it will work.

yah ive heard about using sheetmetal....ya bondo absorbs moisture which causes it to crack and thats the last thing I want

I'm guessing welding in sheetmetal would be quite expensive!

Advantage to driving my cheap car... the side moulding are just held on with double sided tape! No body work necessary! :rofl: :D
