My girlfriend is looking at buying a 2008.5 Mazda3 Sport GS, with a purchase price of 24,975. She will be putting 5k down at 0% apr for 5 years.

Has anyone tried haggeling with kramer mazda? how far have they gotten? is it worth it to try?

what would be a good price to pay for this car? I have never bought a new car so i dont really know the process.

any help would be awsome, thanks.

You can always negotiate prices with new cars, what I like to suggest, is rather then negotiate the price down, try to get stuff like winter tyres, mudflaps, 3m guard.. etc.. included with the listed price.

My 2 cents.

so what do you just tell them that they have a sale if they will throw in some 3m guard and some winter tires?

IF you put your name on the vehicle, it will work.
My girlfriend got the exact same vehicle... 2008 Mazda GS,

Have you been to other dealerships? I remember doing this, because the dealership in Edmonton, Jarman Mazda, was offering a slightly higher MSRP but with bunch of options, undercoating, rustproofing, lifetime oilchange, 3m tape, extended warranty. What you can do is go another dealership and demand for some incentives similiar to those, at a lower price, or you will just purchase it from the other dealership.

If you know what you want, call all the dealerships in the area, ask for the Fleet Manager (or New Car Sales Manager if they don't have one) and tell him/her exactly what you would like and ask for a bottom line price. Tell him/her that you will be purchasing within 24 hrs.

Why would you put $5K down when the finance rate is 0% over 5 years? Put $0 down or as little as absolutely possible.

Run away from Kramer as fast as you can. Hoibble stealership!

I know on the RX8 boards most people reported much better deals at both Sunridge and North Hill.

My deal for the same optioned out car was over 3k difference from Kramer to Sunridge.

You can get a really good discount if you can find a 2008 instead of 2008.5. Talk to the guys at North Hill Mazda and they will hook you up.
Try and negotiate the following into your deal: tint, winter floormats, free oil changes, sirius, spoiler.

Also, don't pay more than $600 for the protection package..that's what I got it for.
