I love Rogers. I don't give a shit about the iPhone so maybe thats why... but if you think this is bad try using Telus or Bell as your cell phone providers. Telus has more hidden fees than UPS and when I was w/ Bell i never had a consistant phone bill.... it's really weird it's like i could use the phone almost not at all for 2 months in a row and it'd be a difference of about $10.

Rogers Communications is a pile of shit as a whole. This combined with their control of internet access (ie. throttling, bandwidth limiting, etc.), and TV and radio. Rogers is a plague here, I hope it's not too late for you local media companies to resist.

Sadly Rogers has bought up so many channels of communication before the CRTC put a clamp on them.

Once competitors CityTV (CHUM Ltd.) and CTV are now pretty much controlled by Rogers. CityTV here used to be so respectable now it's one big Rogers commercial 24 hrs. a day... on two seperate stations.

Everybody wants the same prices they see in Europe and the US, but it's just never going to happen. It costs money to build and maintain a network and we don't have a very dense population comparitively speaking. That's why we pay more.

$70 a month - pretty much bullet proof

quick question..are they allowing people with current plans to just add on a data package for the iphone instead of their combined package of voice and data?

if they do allow you to keep your current voice plan its time to call retentions people!

i called in a couple months back and got this:

-250 min+25 anytime minutes
-evenings and weekends at 8pm
-$5 text pack (with $5 monthly credit)
-Voicemail (with monthly credit)
-CID (with monthly credit)

All that for $20/month :)

Plus Im currently on the $15 Blackberry Personal email plan so I total about $42/month with everythign included.
