K, before everybody rips on me.. I checked beyond and google as much as I could for places to take my G35 for full 3M protection package. All I came up with on Beyond were old threads (At least a year old)

I want to hear personal experiences for places to go and places to stay away from. I took my car to Icon Tint last year for tinting but not sure if they do 3M.. because I liked the work they did.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks all! :)

Soo.. Icon's the best place then?

I just wanna make sure I am getting what I pay for. When I got it done on my SUV by Fishcreek Nissan.. I wasn't impressed with the job they did... So don't want that to happen a second time.

Appreciate the feedback.

PS: Do they (or anybody else) do minor touchups before putting on the 3M? Or do I have to do that myself?

I got a quote done for my freinds G35 at a place called "auto protectors" the use 3M but i don't know what their work is like.
For hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors is was about $800

Platinum used to do a pretty good job. I had 3 pin sized bubbles in mine thought. I don't know if they were open because I have had 4 people call me back an tell me they weren't open anymore.

Dont use the 3M brand of film, it will yellow after being in the sun, and can even cause the paint to discolor underneath. Check out Venture Sheild, because it is garanteed not to fade.

We do 3M.
I believe it even has a 1 year warranty against fading/yellowing/cracking/peeling.
Not 100% sure on that, but I will look into it tomorow.

1/2 hood+ mirrors = $299
full hood + bumper + mirrors= $599

What's the deal with this Venture Shield? Is it actually better??

I haven't heard too many complaints from people about 3M..:dunno:

Refine Auto Salon does an awesome job! Very meticulous guys over there that will take their time to get it done right, not kick it out the door ASAP for the money.

The older 3m yellows. I have seen it a white F350. It looked horrible!

I seem to recall Jadeboy telling me he had some good stuff on his IS. I have the 3M on mine, and it looks like it has really heavy orange peel on it. Not the best in the word, but it does the job I guess. I think I am kind of screwed if my 3M job ever comes up though...platinum guarantees it but it does me no good if they are out of business.

Tinting Illusions, Jared will hook you up - he does awsome work. He just relocated to the old Tunerworks bay.

Any tinting or 3M work, Icon is the place. Damien is awesome and I will not let anyone else touch my car for anything tint or 3m related period.

I took into consideration what everyone said.. but appointment has been booked at Icon Tint (Only because I got my windows tinted there last year and I liked the way I was treated.)
