Rebel XT charger blinks red

Anyone knows why my battery charger is blinking red instead of giving me the solid red when it's charging? Couldn't find anything on the website.

If it's like my charger, it blinks red while it's charging and goes solid when it's done. I don't have a Canon though.

Are your batteries still charging? If they are, are they taking longer to charge than normal? Are they holding their charge and providing the amount of pictures? If no, then you probbly need a new charger.

batteries are charging somewhat, i have a spare battery to try but it still blinks red on the charger... i'll probably bring it to canon and buy a new charger

don't remember exactly but IIRC mine blinks red too when charging and turns solid green when done

like they said, it binks red while charging, and goes solid green when it's finished.

If it alternates between green and red, it means you put the battery on the charger when it was already over 90% charged. That's what I remember reading, anyway.

It's working now guys, thanks for your feedback. however, question: my charger is showing solid red as oppose to you guys' blinking red... does that mean there's something wrong w/ my charger?

When I charge my XT's battery its solid red then solid green when finished.
