Not very much. Costs a lot to reprocess it. Last time I checked it was something like 5% of market value.

Not sure if this is a joke post..

Its about 2.00 per feet I think at the recyclers...

Downsize is that you can die in a manhole (previous Calgary news).

All my drilling rigs need to speed 2 days rewiring copper DC power cables. Because people keep on stealing them. It is gonna cost my company like $60K to get it installed again.

who do you work for seeing as to accumulate 165 lbs of drop leads or grounding cable is intense.

Most OH Primary is ASCR or Stelco, in anything 240v+

I'm out on Vancouver Island now, and last week all the trade stuff came to a screeching halt. Apparently, most of the fuel (diesel, gas, fuel oils, propane) is brought into a port up-island, then put on a train down south here. These trains are diesel-electric, so they have a motor for each set of wheels. Well, some jerk-off stole all the copper from the windings and connections, making prices jump. Gas is about $1.65/l for premium right now :(

I didn't know copper prices were so high. A couple years ago I was stoked when it hit $1.25/pound and cashed in 750lbs+. Sometimes I miss doing electrical.

Anybody know the average rate on insulated wire right now?
