Bought this HDMI switch to use with my old amp but I bought a new amp that does HDMI switching and HDMI audio decoding. This switch can split the audio signal out of an HDMI signal and output it as optical or coaxial digital. Useful if you have too many HDMI devices and still want digital audio. Bought it off of ebay, only used for a week. Paid $80 + shipping. Looking for $50.

Does it auto switch to the live HDMI source, or do you need a remote?

I don't think it auto-switches, I'll check that. Forgot to mention that it comes with a remote.

Edit: Nope, it doesn't auto-switch. Although when you hit the next input button on the remote it does switch to the next active input (skipping inactive inputs).
