Greek Plaka in Shawnessy. It's a small place with 10 tables or so. It's beside the zellers. They have great Mousakka and their Kleftiko is fabulous!

Was there 2 weeks ago, small portions and nothing all that special. Didn't like it, and damn expensive compared to some other places

The only good Greek restaurant I've been to in Calgary is Manies on 17th. All the others (Pegasus, Sontorini etc) I've found to be pretty poor and nothing like the food I've had in Greece over the years. Manies tastes like it should and is the only one I'd recommend.

I was very disappointed by Parthenon. Went there with my girlfriend a while ago, it was not busy at all, there were free tables but they asked us to stand and wait for a good ten minutes(seemed very unnecessary). The food was not very good either, the rice looked like it was straight out of an Uncle Ben's box, and the vegetables were flavorless and too mushy. The meat was pretty bland as well, and the prices, in my opinion, were too expensive.

I will not be returning there (which is too bad, its the closest restaurant to my house, and I do go out fairly often).
