Finally got the new Borg Warner S372 in the car and headed to the dyno for some preliminary tuning. The car is a fully built F20B block (87x88mm) with an H22A head. Run was made at 25psi on C16 fuel using RC 1600cc/min injectors (62%duty).
I went there planning to run 36-40psi...but was limited to 25psi due to my 9-13psi wastegate spring. I have a new wastegate on the way that will let me get to the 40psi goal.
Runs were very smooth as you can see by the dyno plot and no real tuning was done yet other than making sure it was around 11.7 AF.
Won't be heading until the track until all the power is extracted. :burnout:

By the looks of the dyno chart...i will be raising the redline to at least 10,000rpm. There are no signs of power tapering off up top and the motor has been built to handle the higher revs.
I am currently using a European Accord Type R U2Q7 transmission that I brought back with me from Europe. It has the tightest gearing available for the H-series in an OEM box. It has been coupled to a Quaife LSD.
As for 550whp to the front wheels...wait until it has 15psi more boost. Then traction will be a little more interesting. I brought my slicks to the dyno today just in case i started to spin, but the drag radials held up perfect.

-but the extra 100 or so hp (?) with the extra boost would create some fun, I'm sure:D

edit- I was gonna ask about torque steer, but see the part about the quaife:)

IS IT JUST ME OR IS THE VIDEO NOT WORKING?

I hooked his shiet up to the dyno LOL

That was crazy how fast it went from 15psi to 25psi in a matter of 1000rpm (7000-8000 rpm)

Brad what wastegate you end up ordering? Will it be here in 2 weeks? Cause i would like to schedule us in again for the 19th of this month. Let's do it again but this time 35psi at least :bigpimp:

Im on F20B cams right now (same as TypeS)...but might move back to the h22a cams to shift the power to the left a bit.

Great build, there doesn't seem to be any hesitation what so ever. Also, very nice choice on the LSD. Good to hear whp numbers, not that flywheel bullshit
