calling city to tow a car

Hey, I've got a mercury that's been parked outside my house for a good 4 solid days. Hasn't been moved once.

was wondering who i call to have it towed

Also if the vehicle is on city property and has appropriate registration, there is nothing they can do.

I think there is some bylaw about a car not staying in one place for more than 48 horus or something, but I've never heard of it being enforced.

If the car has correct registration and isn't up on blocks, the city isn't going to do anything.

Give 311 a call anyway though, those folks are pretty helpful.

I think there's some law about non roadworthy vehicles parked on public streets for a set time.

According to a Calgary bylaw vehicles cannot be parked for more than 72 hours on any street, even if its your own car in front of your house.

If its been there for more than 72 hours without being moved then call 311 and tell them and it will get ticketed, and then towed. If it has moved and returned, there is nothing you can do.

There is a car in our street sitting for a few weeks now, still has the ticket on his windshield from when they cleaned the streets on the 27th of June. Not in front of my house though :dunno:
