I must be going to the wrong places, but no place I went to today actually had any Rain-X windshield treatment. Superstore actually had the Rain-X blades, but I'm looking for liquid stuff to apply to my windshield. Any tips on where to get this (not Canadian Tire, Superstore, Zellers, Wal-Mart).

Thanks!

I used to buy it at Canadian Tire. However, now I get my car washed at Shell on 32nd NE (or on Richmond x 37th) and they put Rain-X in the final rinse. Plus, I get the Rain-X wiper fluid.

Um, Canadian Tire always has it... do you just not want to go there?

Do you faceplant on a regular basis? Because this thread has fail written all over it.

:werd: OP, you've ruled out all the places that stock it at reasonable prices. I'm not sure why you refuse to go to Canadian Tire or Walmart.

Yeah you can buy it from me. I get it from crappy tire, and sell it to you for twice as much.

Suprised Calgarians even bother with the stuff.... we get very little precip here compared to... oh... Vancouver!! (where the stuff is a requirement)

For the OP's peace of mind: This was the aisles of the Richmond Square Canadian Tire at (according to my phone's exif data) 14:49pm today:

This stuff is pure gold btw. When I'm storm chasing it's actually better to keep my wipers off and let rainx do it's job, even in the heaviest downpours.

Wow, that Richmond Canadian Tire looks promising! Just got back from vacation, so sorry for not responding sooner. Just a few days ago I was in Oktokos so stopped at the Wal-MArt there, and sure enough they also had a decent selection. Nothing against Canadian Tire or the others - that list was just stores I checked and I had assumed each location would have the same stock, which apparently isn't the case. Now I just have to wash my car and apply it :-)

Rain-X streaks hardcore on my windshield when I got the wipers on so I just use it on the side windows and rear. Maybe if I was going 50 - 60km/h all the time I'd use it on my windshiled.

Anyways you can get this shit anywhere, hell, even Safeway carriers it in the automotive section.

hmm maybe I'm just retarded but I've never heard of this stuff. What does it do?

It repels rain off your windshield and other glass surfaces. I just applied it a few days ago and was greeted by my first rain yesterday and it worked great! I hardly had to use my wipers that's how the water just ran off. Cool stuff!
