Movies on my iTouch

Do any of you guys know how to put movies on to an iTouch? Going on a trip, and I don't want to carry my laptop around to watch DVD's. (plus battery life sucks) So I wanna convert some of the DVD's I have and put them on my iTouch. TIA!!

the easiest thing to do is download already converted movies.

There's a program called "ipod video converter" that's free to use - it will convert your .avi and .mpg files for you to play on your iTouch. Hope you have a good computer though...because otherwise it's going to take you a while to convert...my desktop is kind of old...p4 2.53 ghz with 1G of Ram and a 256MB elcheapo vid card...it takes me about 45 mins to convert 20min of show on it...with the power most people have in their comps now a days though you're probably looking at about 6-7 min per half an hour ep.

I downloaded a wonder of a little program.

It's called 3gp_conveter. It's just a little guy. Select the MPEG_4 QVGA 769kbs from the mpeg 4 ipod codec. I had some trouble with the audio becoming out of synch with full lenght movies, but this codec worked. Does take a while, expect a 2 hr movie to take 15 minutes or more to convert.
